Journal History
Jurnal Pendidikan Vokasi (JPV) was first published in 2011 by the Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), in collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Vocational Lecturers and Teachers (ADGVI). Initially, the position of Editor in Chief was held by Prof. Soenarto, Ph.D., who led the initial development of the journal and helped JPV become an important platform for research in the field of vocational education in Indonesia.
In 2018, the editorial leadership passed to Prof. Pardjono, Ph.D., who was instrumental in expanding the journal's coverage to the international level. Under his leadership, JPV strengthened the editorial team by involving academics from various countries, as well as improving the quality of the review and publication process by adopting a double-blind peer review system and open access policy.
Since 2023, the position of Editor in Chief is held by Prof. Dr. Mochamad Bruri Triyono, M.Pd., who continues the journal's commitment to follow international standards. Under his leadership, JPV continues to strengthen the focus on publishing articles in English, starting from 2021, to reach a wider global audience and facilitate knowledge exchange in the field of vocational education.
For more than a decade, JPV has developed into one of the leading journals in the field of vocational education, focusing on various topics such as curriculum development, learning methods, learning evaluation, skills training, and other issues relevant to vocational education and training in various industry sectors.

Jurnal Pendidikan Vokasi is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) in collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Vocational Lecturers and Teachers (ADGVI). Since its establishment in 1964, UNY, originally known as Institut Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (IKIP) Yogyakarta, has shown significant development in its role as a higher education institution. UNY has grown into an institution with a recognized international reputation in education, research, and community service. This is reflected in the various study programs offered through its various faculties and academic units. As part of UNY, the Graduate School plays an important role in managing master and doctoral programs in various fields of science developed at this university. Through the publication of the Jurnal Pendidikan Vokasi, the Graduate School is committed to supporting and facilitating the development of academic resources, so that vocational academics and practitioners can contribute optimally to improving the quality of education and community development.
