Informasi is published by the Department of Communication Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, in collaboration with the Ikatan Sarjana Komunikasi Indonesia (ISKI). With print ISSN 0126-0650 and electronic ISSN 2502-3837, Informasi has been accredited as a SINTA 2 journal by the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Decision Number 36/E/KPT/2019), covering volumes from Vol. 49 (1) in 2019 to Vol. 54 (2) in 2023.
Informasi is an online, open-access academic journal, adhering to the highest standards of peer review, and engaging scholars worldwide, both established and emerging. It serves as an interdisciplinary platform, welcoming contributions from various fields and perspectives within Communication Studies.
The journal provides a space for authors from diverse theoretical and methodological backgrounds, spanning academia and business, to publish in their original languages without limitations of time, space, or accessibility. Its primary focus is on publishing articles in the broad field of communication and media studies, with an emphasis on original research and new theoretical contributions.
In addition, its interdisciplinary approach highlights significant works from other areas within the Social Sciences and Humanities that prioritize communication, media, and journalism as their research focus. The journal accepts submissions in English and publishes biannually, with issues released in June and December.
