Abstract

Karakteristik butir dan subtes dari Tes Potensi Akademik (TPA) versi 07A diteliti berdasarkan data jawaban 198 pelamar Program Magister Psikologi UGM tahun 2007, sementara validitas prediksi tes dianalisis berdasarkan data jawaban 80 mahasiswa yang diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa butir-butir subtes verbal, kuantitatif, dan penalaran memiliki tingkat kesulitan sedang, indeks daya beda sangat baik, dan distraktor berfungsi dengan baik. Semua skor subtes memiliki koefisien reliabilitas yang sangat tinggi, demikian juga skor TPA. Namun, analisis validitas skor TPA kurang dapat memprediksi IPK semester pertama.
