Pythagoras is a peer-refereed open-access journal providing collection of articles on mathematics, its application and education includes papers from survey, experimental research and other empirical studies. Papers in this journal present an overview of recent advances and provide the latest techniques and analysis as well as the latest models, methods and learning media. The paper is written in a style that is accessible to researchers at all levels so that it can serve to help the public follow developments in research methods, trends and developments as well as the development of mathematics and its teaching. To achieve this goal, we encourage submissions of manuscripts that address issues of computational methods in linear algebra, optimization, ordinary and partial differential equations, approximation theory, stochastic analysis and nonlinear dynamical systems, as well as applications of computational techniques in science and engineering as well as mathematical theories that underlying numerical methods. This journal is published by the Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta in June & December.

Since August 2020, the journal has been ACCREDITED by the Ministry of Research and Technology/National Agency for Research and Innovation as an achievement for the peer-reviewed journal which has excellent quality in management and publication. The recognition published in Ministry of Research and Technology/National Agency for Research and Innovation Decree N 148/M/KPT/2020 August 3, 2020, and effective until 2025.
