Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts are subject to a peer review process that upholds high standards of academic quality, adhering to the COPE Guidelines for Peer Review. Once approved by the editor, each submission undergoes evaluation by anonymous peer reviewers (double-blind peer review), where both reviewer and author identities remain confidential. The editorial board makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection, considering the reviewers' recommendations. In cases where submissions may raise significant ethical, security, biosecurity, or societal concerns, our Research Integrity team may seek further external input, consulting additional experts, the academic editor, or reviewers with specialized expertise, which may include a decision not to proceed with the submission.

Open Access Policy

The journal provides Open Access to all articles, allowing users to freely read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0) [https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/]. This license permits the redistribution and adaptation of works for commercial purposes, provided appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source. More details on the license are available at http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0.

Advertising Policy

The journal currently does not publish any advertisements.

Consent for Publication

For any manuscript containing identifiable details or images of individuals, written informed consent for publication is required from the individual or, if they are under 18, from their parent or legal guardian. If the individual is deceased, consent must be obtained from their next of kin. This consent must be in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0, ensuring information is freely accessible online. Authors should include a statement in the manuscript confirming that written consent has been obtained, and they may use a standard or institutional consent form. Consent forms will be provided to the Editor upon request and will be kept confidential.

Confidentiality

Manuscripts submitted to the journal are treated as confidential. Only individuals involved in the editorial process, such as editorial staff, the corresponding author, reviewers, and editors, have access to them. In cases of suspected misconduct, the manuscript may be shared with members of the journal’s ethics committee and with institutions or organizations if necessary, in line with COPE flowchart guidelines.

Copyright Policy and Submission Eligibility

Anyone holding the copyright to a work, or who is authorized by the copyright owner, may submit a manuscript to ELINVO (Electronics, Informatics, and Vocational Education). Authors retain copyright ownership before publication unless otherwise transferred to an employer due to conditions of employment.

User Rights

As an Open Access journal, ELINVO allows users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts of articles, following the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0). https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/

Author Rights

This journal follows a non-exclusive licensing agreement, whereby authors transfer copyright to ELINVO (ELECTRONICS, INFORMATICS AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION) but retain rights to publish and distribute their work.

Desk Rejection Policy

A manuscript may be rejected without full peer review for the following reasons:
  • The study's topic or scope is not relevant to the journal’s field.
  • It contains ethical issues, fails to meet international standards, or has a plagiarism similarity index above 30%.
  • The topic lacks sufficient impact or novelty for the field.
  • There are significant flaws in study design.
  • The study's objectives are not clearly defined.
  • The organization of the manuscript is problematic or incomplete.
  • The writing quality is inadequate, with frequent grammatical errors.
  • The manuscript does not comply with the journal's submission guidelines.

Funding Disclosure

Authors must disclose all sources of funding and financial support in their manuscript, detailing the role of any sponsors in the study. If sponsors were not involved, this should be explicitly stated. Authors must ensure accuracy in these disclosures and comply with funder requirements.

Images and Figures

Include only relevant images and figures that enhance the work's scholarly value. Avoid using purely illustrative content. For third-party material, obtain written permission using the provided Consent Form if required, covering proprietary text, images, tables, or other materials.

Misconduct Policy

The journal takes academic misconduct seriously, adhering to COPE guidelines. Types of misconduct include:
  • Misrepresentation of affiliation
  • Use of third-party material without permission
  • Citation manipulation
  • Duplicate submission/publication
  • Unethical research or “ethics dumping”
  • Image or data falsification
  • Peer review manipulation
  • Plagiarism and text recycling/self-plagiarism
  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest

Duplicate Submission/Publication

Authors must confirm that their manuscript is not under review elsewhere. Duplicate submissions, including those in another language, may result in sanctions. Secondary publication (e.g., translated versions) is allowed only with permission from the original publisher and explicit disclosure to the new journal’s editor. The manuscript should clearly indicate that it is a translated version and include a citation to the original.

Redundant Publications

Authors should avoid dividing study results into multiple articles, as redundant publication repeats the same findings across separate papers.

Citation Manipulation

Manuscripts with citations primarily aimed at artificially increasing citation counts for certain authors or journals may face sanctions.

Data Fabrication and Falsification

The journal prohibits data fabrication and falsification, including image manipulation. Sanctions will apply to any detected instances.

Author Contribution and Attribution

All listed authors should have made a meaningful contribution to the research and must approve the manuscript's claims. Ensure everyone with a significant contribution is acknowledged.

Image Manipulation

Images must be accurate and free from manipulation. Any alteration must be disclosed in the figure legend, and unedited originals must be provided upon request. Failure to comply may result in retraction.

Preprints Policy

Authors may share preprints of their work anytime. If the manuscript is accepted, authors should link the preprint to the formal publication via its DOI. Updates on preprint servers like arXiv are encouraged.

Publication Timing & Review Process

Submissions are accepted continuously and reviewed based on readiness for publication, not submission date. Special issues may be published at a later date. All issues adhere to the same editorial and review guidelines.

Standards of Reporting

Research should be presented in a way that enables verification and reproducibility. Authors are encouraged to provide comprehensive descriptions of research methodologies and analyses.

Use of Third-party Material

Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions for any copyrighted material included in the manuscript. Any included terms (trade names, trademarks) do not imply they lack legal protection. The journal assumes no legal responsibility for errors or omissions.

Use of AI and AI-assisted Technologies in Writing

AI can assist with language and readability but should not replace critical tasks like scientific insights or conclusions. Authors must disclose any use of AI in their writing, including a statement in the manuscript. AI cannot be credited as an author, as authorship requires accountability and tasks only humans can perform.

Use of AI in Peer Review

To protect authors' rights and maintain confidentiality, the journal prohibits the use of AI-assisted technologies (e.g., ChatGPT) in peer review. This policy is subject to future revision as suitable tools become available.
